NO TO THE INQUIRY WITH WHO TO GOVERN BSP!
The Central Election Commission published the final election results from the 2nd of this month. Another catastrophic election for the BSP, which confirmed the bitter truth that today out of 10 voters, only one supported the BSP! In the villages, the party is fifth, among pensioners – third! In ten of the electoral districts, the party is without a single representative! The verdict of the voter is harsh, but fair – the party (with this leadership and these list leaders) did not deserve the trust of the citizens to govern the country! The shameful results for her only assign her the place of categorical opposition, from where she, with a lot of effort and a radically different policy, must fight for a new credit of trust and once again prove herself as a significant left-wing political force.
Ninova and her accomplices, however, prefer to remain deaf and blind to this judgment. Incapable of a deep political analysis of the election results, they did not want to see the real reasons for the pogrom, so as not to take responsibility. On the contrary – they most unceremoniously announced that an internal party poll is coming up with whom and how the BSP should participate in the government!? Not how to wash away the shame of the collapse of the party, but how to once again become the crutch of another right-wing government threatening to bring Bulgaria into the war in Ukraine.
Let it be extremely clear – the intended “poll” is demagoguery and an unforgivable abdication of the leadership of the BSP from the responsibility it has to those two hundred thousand who voted for the party on April 2 and to those millions of honest citizens who expect to see the party in the role of uncompromising opposition, opposed to the vicious system of right-wing domination, serving, in its various incarnations, only the interests of oligarchic circles. Is it even permissible for a left-wing party to conduct an internal party poll to support a right-wing government?
Ninova, in the most humiliating way, removes from himself the personal responsibility of a directly elected chairman, which he is so proud of. The mere raising of the question of participation in power after the results of the just-held elections speaks of only one thing – the desire to see her and her circle again in power.
No conscious socialist has the right to allow himself to become an accomplice of such vile betrayal of the cause of the socialist party as the bearer of another ideological and moral principle in politics and of another strategy, subordinated not to personal and coterie appetites, but to the interests of the vast majority of citizens and the state.
And one more thing – if the disastrous intention for the party for the poll in question is carried out instead of the immediate announcement that in the 49th National Assembly the BSP will be a categorical opposition, it is obvious that a deep change and new energy in the life of the party is possible only if, on the basis of a new constitution, a new political platform and a new leadership, every true socialist has consciously decided for himself which side he wants to be on!
What else needs to happen to realize the deep crisis in which the Bulgarian Socialist Party finds itself thanks to the actions of its leadership?
