Largest drone attack against Moscow – Two airports closed

Ukraine has launched a widespread drone attack against Moscow, according to the regional governor Andrei Vorobyov, and this is the largest drone attack against Moscow since the beginning of the war.

In particular, Ukraine attacked Moscow and its suburbs today Sunday (10.11.2024) with at least 32 drones, according to Russian officials. A few hours later, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that they had shot down 70 Ukrainian drones flying over Russian territory.

The Ukrainian attack targeted six regions of Russian territory, including Moscow, Tula, Bryansk, Kaluga, Ariol, and parts of Kursk, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Stops at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport were temporarily suspended after the drone attack, the Federal Civil Aviation Service (Rosaviatsia) said on its channel on the Telegram messaging app. At the same time, there are reports that another airport in Moscow has been closed.
