Fortuna and the SCP are playing a hard-fought game. After a good hour, the hosts suffered a blow from which they did not recover – until added time.
Shortly before the end, they lost the lead in the table that they had already thought was safe: SC Paderborn conceded a goal in added time in the top game of the 2nd Bundesliga at Fortuna Düsseldorf to make it 1-1 (0-1) and still missed out on temporary first place. In an exciting, but not always top-class game, the guests took the lead with an own goal (61st) scored by Düsseldorf goalkeeper Florian Kastenmeier and defender Valgeir Lunddal. The hard-working but ultimately harmless Fortunes took a long time to recover from the unexpected goal they conceded at the time no longer. Until injury time, when Paderborn’s Felix Götze scored in his own goal in a last-ditch attack attempt (90+5).
With 21 points each, Paderborn and Düsseldorf remain in second and third place in the table behind leaders Hannover 96.
