AEK easily defeated the nine-man Asteras Tripoli 3-0 and at least temporarily climbed to the top of the Aris standings in the 11th matchday of the Super League, in a match that took place behind closed doors, due to a punishment by the Union.
The “two-headed” entered the game very strongly and in the 9th minute opened the scoring with an amazing heel of Hadjisafi from an assist by Martial. In the 12th minute, Mandalos’ fireball was impressively deflected into a corner by Tsintotas. Asteras threatened in the 26th minute when Makeda found Bartolo unmarked in the area who made the move but the ball went just over Strakosa’s crossbar. But in the 31st minute, Fernandes made it 2-0 with a perfect free kick and made it much more difficult for the Arkades…
In the 34th minute, Tsintotas defeated Callens in a four-on-one match and in the 36th minute, Asteras was left with 10 players due to the dismissal of Alagbe for a hard foul on Fernandes…
In the 58th minute, from Pineda’s ball, Garcia increased the score to 3-0 with an excellent effort and shot. In the 60th minute, Mandalos missed a great opportunity for another goal (placed out) and in the 65th minute, Hadjisafi hit the crossbar of Tsintotas.
In the 70th minute, Asteras was left with 9 players due to the expulsion of Tzandaris for a hard marking on Rota and in the match the only question mark was now the height of the score. In the 75th minute, Piero scored a goal from close range, but it was canceled by the VAR for the scorer’s offside, and in the 81st minute, the same four-four with Tsintotas missed the target. In the 90′, Lamela couldn’t beat Tsintotas, just like Piero in the 92′.
Thanasis Tzilos expelled Alagbe and Tzandaris and yellowed Alhos, Triantafyllopoulos.
