In the mixed category he won third place in the downstream (an 8 km race along the Trancura River) and fourth overall, competing with the team of the current champion, Brazil, and second place, Argentina.
The team consisted of Benjamin Benavides, Claudino San Martín, Fernanda González, Corina Quiñones and Nazaret Zapata.
In the rafting category, Ñuble Rafting qualified with two teams: one finished fifth and the other third, among seven representatives. This team consisted of Claudino San Martín, Benjamin Benavides, John Marín, José Herrera and Luciano González.
