Mexico City. The Evaluation Committee of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), which will be in charge of reviewing the files of candidates to compete for the positions of district judge, circuit magistrate and minister, received the first five applications from candidates for the June 2025 election.
According to the records of the highest court in the country, as of yesterday at 5:00 p.m. three applications had been received to compete for a district judge position, and these corresponded to Candelario Magaña Hernández, José Alberto Solís López and Ingrid Jordana Artega Hughes.
Meanwhile, Jaime Allier Campuzano, who serves as a magistrate and currently serves as a member of the Second Collegiate Court on Criminal and Labor Matters, which is located in San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca, presented his petition to compete for a position as minister of the SCJN. .
For his part, Marco Antonio Medina González, who has held various positions in the Judicial Branch of the Federation, including judicial officer and agreement secretary in courts based in the State of Mexico, Quintana Roo and the country’s capital, seeks to be a candidate for circuit magistrate in administrative matters.
Jordana Arteaga indicated in her application that she has a specialty in Civil and Administrative Amparo matters, while Candelario Magaña is a trial lawyer specialized in criminal matters; José Alberto Solís, has a specialty in criminal matters.
