Trump also wins the swing state of Nevada, days after the elections

The state of Nevada also won Donald Trump. This means that he received the most votes in at least six out of seven swing statesstates where there was no clear winner beforehand. In the last swing state, Arizona, a winner has not yet been announced, but Republicans are also on track to win the state.

With the six electoral votes in western Nevada, Trump has 301 electoral votes. He needed 270 for the win. He caught that on Wednesday morning when he won at Wisconsin. Trump is still on track to… popular vote to win, the majority of votes were cast across the country. He currently has 4 million more votes than Kamala Harris.

The NOS follows the AP news agency in announcing a winner. AP says votes still need to be counted in two Nevada counties. They vote mostly Democratic, but the difference between Trump and Harris (46,000 votes) cannot be reasonably closed.

The fact that the results in Nevada took days to arrive was partly due to delays in postal votes. Although they should have been posted by Tuesday, election day, deliverymen still had until today to deliver them.

Also, like Alaska, the state only started counting votes after the polls closed. In addition, there was a problem with allowing 700 ballots in two counties because the signatures of mostly young voters did not match those on their ID cards.

Nevada has voted Democratic since 2008, but the differences have narrowed. That is why Trump and Harris visited the country several times during this campaign State of Money. They were at campaign rallies around Halloween in Clark County, home to the cities of Las Vegas and Henderson. They also visited Washoe County, home of Reno, Nevada’s third largest city.

Nevada was very conservative for a long time, but the arrival of large groups of immigrants, especially Latinos and more recently Asians, has changed the political complexion of the state. The urban south around Las Vegas has become liberal and turning blue, while the conservative north still votes solidly Republican.

As revealed in more states in this election, Trump has scored better than before especially Latino men. Their biggest concern is the economy and Trump has better scores on that subject than Harris. They are also concerned about (illegal) migration.
