Rodri Crowned 2024 Ballon d’Or Winner: Full Results and Standings Revealed

The French newspaper L’Equipe revealed the details of the vote of 99 journalists at the Ballon d’Or 2024 awards ceremony, which led to Rodri, the English player of Manchester City, winning the award of the best player in the world.

Rodri won the Ballon d’Or award at the expense of Vinicius Junior from Brazil, a player of the Spanish club Real Madrid.

The French newspaper reported that Rodri received a total of 1,170 points out of a possible 1,485 points (from a vote of 99 journalists).

Rodri bettered second-placed Vinicius Junior by 41 points, as the Brazilian earned a total of 1,129 points.

While the Englishman Jude Bellingham, the Real Madrid player, came in third place with 917 points, and his teammate Dani Carvajal followed him with 550 points in fourth place.

As for the Cuban Award for the best young player, won by Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, ​​​​​​​​​he won a total of 113 points, ahead of Turkey’s Arda Guler, a Real Madrid player, who was in second place with 26 points.

As for the Best Coach in the World award, which was won by the Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, he got a total of 118 points, ahead of the Spaniard Xabi Alonso, who was in second place with 89 points, and behind them. Luis de Lafuente, coach of the Spanish national team, had 63 points.

As for the Yashin Award for the best goalkeeper in the world, which was won by Argentine Emiliano Martinez, the goalkeeper of Aston Villa, he scored 276 points, ahead of Unai Simon, the goalkeeper of Athletic Bilbao and the national team of Spain, who was in second place with 213 points, while Ronwen Williams, goalkeeper of South Africa’s Sundowns, came in ninth place with 27 points.
