«An international investigation means that we are not a State and they control us from the outside»the speaker of the Georgian Parliament said at a press conference, Shalva Papuashvili.
According to Papuashvili, the demand of the opposition, which refuses to cooperate with Georgian law enforcement, to entrust the investigation to foreign specialists means “that uncles and aunts will come and tell us that we are not a state and we cannot do anything for our account”.
Meanwhile, the president of the country, Salome Zurabishviliregretted today that the Georgian community living abroad could not vote en masse in the elections on October 26, as happened in the Moldovan presidential elections this Sunday.

Previously, Zurabishvili refused to appear before the Prosecutor General’s Office over his allegations of fraud in the recent parliamentary elections.
