The US Department of Justice has charged an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps official and two other people with trying to set up an assassination attempt on Donald Trump during the election campaign.
According to what was announced, the Department of Justice brought the aforementioned charges against an official of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, but did not connect the Iranian move to the two attempts on Trump’s life that took place in the previous period.
According to international media, the complaint unsealed in a Manhattan federal court states that an unnamed Guards official instructed a US liaison in September to devise a plan to track and kill Trump.
