Bad weather in the Catania area, flooded roads and flooded streams

(ANSA) – CATANIA, 08 NOV – Roads flooded with water and flooded streams in the Acese due to the strong bad weather that hit the province of Catania, and in particular the Ionian area. Firefighters from the provincial command are intervening with teams sent from detachments across the province. People in difficulty who remained inside their cars were rescued. Among the most critical situations are the flooding in via San Piero Patti in Acireale, where a torrent has flooded and where divers from the Catania fire brigade are operating, in via Cristoforo Colombo and in the seaside hamlet of Capo Mulini where the waterways are carefully monitored. Engaged in the territory and in the hamlets of Acireale, teams from the detachments of Acireale, Catania Nord, Palagonia and Maletto.
