Jang Hyeon-il, Netmarble Neo development general producer/Photo = Provided by Netmarble Netmarble announced that it held a ‘G-Star 2024 media demonstration’ at the ‘G Tower’ Netmarble headquarters located in Guro-gu, Seoul on the 8th.

This event was prepared to provide an opportunity to introduce and demonstrate the two types of works to the media prior to the opening of G-Star 2024 on the 14th. The event was held with game introductions and G-Star build demonstrations, with the development managers of the submitted works ‘Game of Thrones: King’s Road’ and ‘Mongil: STAR DIVE‘ in attendance.

Netmarble will exhibit two new works, including ‘Game of Thrones: King’s Road’ and ‘Mongil: STAR DIVE’, at ‘G-Star 2024’, which will be held at BEXCO, Busan from the 14th to the 17th. A total of 100 booths and 170 demonstration stands will be operated so that visitors to the Netmarble Hall can experience the submitted works, and various on-site events such as influencer competitions, virtuber demonstrations, and cosplay shows will be held on the central stage.

‘Game of Thrones: King’s Road’ is an open world action role-playing game (RPG) being developed with the goal of launching on various platforms, including mobile, using HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’, which won the Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. In this G-Star build, part of the original story of Game of Thrones: King’s Road will be revealed, allowing you to experience the first open world action RPG of the Game of Thrones intellectual property (IP) that unfolds on the continent of Westeros.

This game is being developed as an original story unique to ‘Game of Thrones: King’s Road’ based on thorough historical research, and characters from the original will also appear. In particular, Unreal Engine 5 was used to realize the vast continent of Westeros from the original work as an open world. It also provides a variety of open world content such as exploration, gathering, and crafting.

Users can select classes such as knights, mercenaries, and assassins, and by providing 100% manual combat, they can enjoy more tense strategic battles and maximized action pleasure, such as combo skills using basic skills and striking skills, and use of the anger gauge.

Jang Hyun-il, PD in charge of development at Netmarble Neo, said, “As this ‘Game of Thrones: King’s Road’ is the first open world action RPG under the Game of Thrones IP, we are working hard to provide a suspenseful original story as well as thorough historical research on the original work.” “In particular, we hope that you will look forward to the open world content enjoyed on the vast continent of Westeros as well as the differentiated taste provided by 100% manual operation.”

Mongil: STAR DIVE is an action RPG that succeeds ‘Taming a Monster’, which popularized mobile RPGs. In this G-Star build, we plan to introduce a story mode where you can experience the early story and battles.

‘Mongil: STAR DIVE’, which is being developed with Unreal Engine 5, depicts the journey of the main characters Cloud and Verna and their special companion Meow. The main characters, Verna and Cloud, carry out missions requested by the Mongilus Guild and investigate the ecology of monsters that have changed for unknown reasons.

Users can use a party of three characters to combine the characteristics and skills of each character and enjoy refreshing action and combat content through simple operation. Additionally, you can tame monsters as you progress through the adventure and experience various contents using the tamed monsters.

Kim Gwang-ki, head of development at Netmarble Monster, said, “‘Mongil: STAR DIVE’, which will be debuted through G-Star in 2024, will feature a story of attractive characters and a variety of action fun taming content suitable for ‘Taming a Monster’.” He added, “The original Verna and Cloud “I hope you look forward to the journey that our new mascot, Meow, will portray,” he said.
