Regarding the public opening of Inui Imperial Palace Street in autumn 2020

Inui Imperial Palace Autumn Street will be open to the public for nine days from Saturday, November 30, 2020 to Sunday, December 8, 2020.

Entry hours are from 9:00am to 3:00pm daily, with entry through the Imperial Palace’s Sakashita Gate and exit through the Imperial Palace’s Inui Gate.

Regarding the ban on parking of tourist buses, etc.

● There is no parking available at the Empire Palace. Please use public transport.

● Parking is prohibited on the roads around the Imperial Palace, so please refrain from parking on the road or getting on or off the vehicle on the road.

  • 4. When Inui Street opens the Imperial Palace to the public, a large number of people are expected to visit, so be aware of the following points.
  • (1) The last entry time for public viewing of the Imperial Palace’s Inui Street is 3:00 p.m., so please arrive with plenty of time to spare. (It may take about 30 minutes to walk from the nearest station to Sakashita Gate.)

    (2) You must now line up in advance at the Sakashita Gate to enter. Please don’t break the line or wait.

    (3) On the day of the event, a baggage check and security check will be conducted before entering through the Sakashita Gate. Even if items such as knives and scissors are not against the law, the baggage check may take time, so please do not bring them with you. In addition, please keep your luggage to a minimum and cooperate to reduce congestion by storing it in dog lockers at stations, etc.

    (4) The road between Sakashita Gate and Inui Gate is a gentle slope, and you have to walk a long way, so be careful with your shoes. Please be especially careful if you are wearing high heels or clogs.

    (7) Catching, collecting, killing, or harming animals, plants or fish.

    (8) Selling or distributing goods, collecting donations, or entertaining as a business.

    (9) Circulating posters, leaflets, etc., holding meetings, or holding demonstrations.

    (10) Disposing of waste or creating noise.

    (11) Take part in any other activity that disturbs order or morality within the Imperial Palace, or is considered a hindrance to the public opening of Inui Street of the Imperial Palace.
