The Imperial Palace’s Inui Street will be open to the public in autumn 2020 as follows.

• 1. Regarding the implementation period

9 days from November 30 (Saturday) to December 8 (Sunday)

• 2. About time of implementation

Entry is from 9am to 3pm (departure by 3:30pm)

• 3. About entry/exit gates

(1)Enter from the Sakashita gateAfter passing directly in front of the Imperial Household Agency building, go through Inui Street,Out of InuimonI will.

(2)You cannot enter Inui Street from the Inuimon Gate or the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace.So please be careful.

* The distance from Sakashita Gate to Inui Gate is about 750m.

• 4. When Inui Street opens the Imperial Palace to the public, a large number of people are expected to visit, so be aware of the following points.

(1) The last entry time for public viewing of the Imperial Palace’s Inui Street is 3:00 p.m., so please arrive with plenty of time to spare. (It may take about 30 minutes to walk from the nearest station to Sakashita Gate.)

(2) You must now line up in advance at the Sakashita Gate to enter. Please don’t break the line or wait.

(3) On the day of the event, a baggage check and security check will be conducted before entering through the Sakashita Gate. Even if items such as knives and scissors are not against the law, the baggage check may take time, so please do not bring them with you. In addition, please keep your luggage to a minimum and cooperate to reduce congestion by storing it in dog lockers at stations, etc.

(4) The road between Sakashita Gate and Inui Gate is a gentle slope, and you have to walk a long way, so be careful with your shoes. Please be especially careful if you are wearing high heels or clogs.

(5) On the day of the event, the staff of the Imperial Household Agency, police officers, etc. organize and manage the interior of the Imperial Palace, the Outer Gardens of the Imperial Palace, and the surrounding areas tour them to ensure a smooth visit and safety measures. We also ask for your cooperation in organizing and directing visitors according to the last entry time.

People with animals with them (except assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities), people who are drunk, people who carry dangerous things, and those who block the way or harm other people with flagpoles, small unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), large luggage, etc., anyone carrying anything that may cause a disturbance, or anyone deemed to be an obstruction on the opening of Inui Street of the Empire to the public will be rejected.
• 6. When the Imperial Palace’s Inui Street is open to the public, refrain from the following activities:

(1) Violating the instructions and restraints of employees, obstructing safe passage within the facility, or entering prohibited areas.

(2) Eating, drinking, or smoking.

(3) Using equipment such as self-portrait equipment, tripods, step ladders, etc., or taking photographs and films as a professional.

(4) Entering the venue wearing suits or other clothing that is not appropriate for a public attendee on Imperial Palace Inui Street.

(5) Riding a bicycle or participating in an athletic competition.

(6) Damaging or moving facilities or other objects, or collecting soil or stones.

(7) Catching, collecting, killing, or harming animals, plants or fish.

(8) Selling or distributing goods, collecting donations, or entertaining as a business.

(9) Circulating posters, leaflets, etc., holding meetings, or holding demonstrations.

(10) Disposing of waste or creating noise.

(11) Take part in any other activity that disturbs order or morality within the Imperial Palace, or is considered a hindrance to the public opening of Inui Street of the Imperial Palace.

(2) No parking space available. Parking is prohibited on the roads around the Imperial Palace, so please refrain from parking on the road or getting on or off the vehicle on the road. Also, during the period when the Imperial Palace’s Inui Street is open to the public, the parking lots around the Imperial Palace are expected to be full, so use public transportation.
(3) During the hours when the Imperial Palace Street Inui is open to the public, it is expected that many people will be walking on the sidewalks around the Imperial Palace, so we ask people to will run around the Imperial Palace.

(5) The Imperial Palace East Garden is open to the public during the time the Imperial Palace’s Inui Street is open to the public, and you can enter through Otemon Gate, Hirakawa Gate, and Kitakabashi Gate.
