After 16 years in the MLB and four years in Asian baseball, Shin-Soo Choo announced his retirement from baseball. The outfielder played from 2005 to 2020 in the Major Leagues, his last season being in the Big Show, wearing the uniform of the Texas Rangers.
The outfielder was with the Seattle Mariners, the Cleveland Indians (currently the Cleveland Guardians), the Cincinnati Reds and the Texas Rangers.
In his 16-year MLB career, Choo left an average of .275, 1,671 hits, 329 doubles, 218 home runs, 782 RBIs, 961 runs scored, 157 stolen bases, 868 bases on balls received, in 1,652 games played.

One of his notable campaigns is 2009 with the Cleveland Indians, when he batted .300, with 175 hits, 20 home runs, 21 stolen bases, 86 runs batted in, 87 runs scored and 38 doubles, in 156 games played.
The Asian player received a call to the All-Star Game in 2018, playing for the Texas Rangers.
From 2021 to 2024, Shin-Soo Choo played in Asian baseball with the SSG Landers. With this team he hit .263, with 54 home runs, 205 runs batted in, 396 hits, 266 runs scored, in 439 games.
In his final turn of his career, the fans gave him a loud standing ovation for his accomplished career.
