Togo: now to obtain a visa, you have to pay…

The US Embassy in Togo informs that from November 8, 2024, making an appointment for visas is subject to prior payment.

Two options available:

– In cash at an Ecobank branch; Or

– By credit card in USD directly on the appointment booking site.

Since June 17, 2023, the non-immigrant visa application fee is 185 USD, or 120,300 FCFA.

All candidates must bring exact change.

As of July 1, 2024, all nonimmigrant visa applicants must present the same DS-160 application form during the visa interview that was used to make an appointment.

The barcode on the appointment confirmation must match the barcode on the application confirmation.

In the event of non-compliance with the new directive, candidates will have to schedule a new appointment.

The U.S. Embassy in Lomé is now accepting nonimmigrant visa applications for all categories.

New appointments, when available, are published on Mondays at 3 p.m. Togolese time, except Togolese and American holidays.

However, the number of visa appointments is limited.

All applicants must then be Togolese citizens or residents of Togo if using the automated appointment system.

If you are neither, your visa appointment will be canceled if you use the automated appointment system.

If you are not a Togolese citizen, you can contact us by email to be considered for an appointment at the Lomé consulate.
