Just a week after the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare released its first major patch (1.0.0) to fix various bugs and make necessary improvements.
Positions of the baby
- Fixed companion skill point reset: skill points no longer mysteriously disappear on your party members.
- Harding’s wheel is now working: she is finally carrying arrows – she is ready to join the fight rather than just provide moral support.
- Improved visual performance: Updated assets reduce long-range pop-in effects and improve overall graphic fidelity.
- Changed companion approval notifications: approval (or disapproval) from your companions now stays on screen longer, giving you plenty of time to enjoy their comments – or be shocked.
- Fixed lip sync issues so characters can now speak without that weird ventriloquist vibe.
The patch notes are extensive and reflect BioWare’s commitment to improving the gameplay experience. PC gamers will be happy to see fixes for DLSS settings on Nvidia GPUs and an update to XeSS version 1.3.1. Glitches have been kept to a minimum and visual performance over long distances has been improved with updated resources.
BioWare has assured players that there are new patches on the horizon that “will make your gaming experience even better“Whether you are deep into the game or just starting out, this first patch is designed to improve your journey through Thedas.
