/ world today news/ Today, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) continued its combat patrols and military exercises in the Taiwan Strait. The exercises are codenamed “One Sword“.
Under the command of the Joint Operations Staff, various units conduct simulations of precision strikes on key targets on the island and in its waters, maintaining a continuous siege.
In the Taiwan Strait, standby escort ships and missile boats, along with coastal assault groups, conducted continuous tracking and lock-on targets in southwestern Taiwan. Dozens of early warning, reconnaissance, fighter, bomber and cargo aircraft were deployed in stages to work out an integrated system of joint strike from shore, sea and air and to provide direction and cover for the assault groups.
