THE CHIEF OF THE VULTURE FUNDS PAUL SINGER WANTS TO BE AMBASSADOR IN ARGENTINA – Bariloche Digital

Paul Singer, for years characterized by Kirchnerism as Argentina’s number one public enemy, wants to be the United States ambassador in Buenos Aires when his friend Donald Trump wins. The pinnacle of the confrontation with Kirchnerism occurred in 2012, when through his investment fund Elliott Management, Singer seized the Frigate Libertad, which at that time was in the port of Tema, Ghana, during an instruction trip.

Singer was one of the great contributors to the magnate’s campaign. Sources from the Republican’s campaign told LPO that he would have contributed $41 million, not as much as Elon Musk who contributed more than $140 million, but it is a lot of money in the United States and anywhere else in the world.

Contributions of that magnitude make it possible to aspire to an embassy of those reserved for large donors. Buenos Aires is one of them. Singer’s closeness to Trump increased over the years to the point that the financier moved to Palm Beach, a place in Trump’s land. And not only that: he moved his fund’s headquarters from New York to Florida. (LPO)

These funds have been looking for loopholes to keep the gold that was exported to London or Aerolíneas Argentinas, Banco Nacion, INVAP, etc. that the government plans to privatize.-
