The Milwaukee Bucks can still win. After six defeats in a row, Giannis Antetokounmpo and colleagues celebrated a breakthrough.
Utah Jazz @ Milwaukee Bucks 100:123
The Milwaukee Bucks have ended their losing streak in the NBA. After six defeats in a row, the team around superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard won clearly at home against the Utah Jazz with 123:100.
Lillard and returnee Antetokounmpo, who missed a game due to adductor problems, both stood out. Lillard scored 34 points, his Greek teammate contributed 31 points and 16 rebounds. On the guests’ side, Jordan Clarkson was the best scorer with 18 points.
“That’s a good feeling,” said Lillard after the second win of the season after already six defeats: “If you have a bad start, you can easily panic and worry a little.”

Head coach Doc Rivers reacted to his team’s series of bankruptcies and slightly adjusted the starting lineup before the game against Utah. Gary Trent Jr. had to go to the bench and Andre Jackson took his place in the starting five.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Chicago Bulls
The Minnesota Timberwolves also mastered their compulsory task confidently. The Wolves won the Chicago Bulls 135:119.
The outstanding player was once again Anthony Edwards with 33 points, and he also hit more than half (5/9) of his three-point attempts. Minnesota’s entire starting five scored in double figures.
The Bulls were particularly impressed by Nikola Vucevic (25 points) and Coby White, who scored 24 points.
Portland Trail Blazers @ San Antoinio Spurs 105:118
Despite a discreet performance from Victor Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs celebrated an immensely important home win against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Texans won 118:105, Wembanyama remained well below his potential with twelve points and only four of 13 shots from the field.
The bench in particular helped the Spurs win. With Keldon Johnson and Malaki Branham, who both scored 17 points each, the team’s two best throwers were not in the starting lineup.
