Didier Deschamps has decided not to call Kylian Mbappé for the French team’s next matches in the Nations League against Israel and Italy, following a disagreement between the coach and the player.
Didier Deschamps informed Mbappé of this decision, which he justified by the need to protect the player in a delicate context. Although Mbappé has expressed his desire to participate, the coach prioritizes the collective interest of the team and wishes to give playing time to young talents.
This decision follows previous tensions, notably a trip to Sweden which had tarnished the attacker’s image. Deschamps remains determined to establish a new dynamic within the group.
