MIAMI, Fla. – For 11 years, Local 10 News has collected non-perishable foods to help our local food pantries feed those in need in South Florida.
This year, the Day of Giving from Local 10 News will be held all day Friday, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Local 10 News team members will fan out across South Florida to help collect non-perishable donations to help seven local hunger relief organizations feed families this holiday season.
Before dawn, Kristi Krueger and Jenise Fernandez will be at the Publix in Pembroke Pines, located at 15729 Pines Blvd.
They will collect food to stock the Manna Share-A-Meal pantry.
Starting at 9 a.m., join Andrew Perez and Joshua’s Heart Foundation volunteers at the Publix of Kendall, located at 9105 S. Dadeland Blvd.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Hughes and Perez will help the good people of The Caring Place receive their generous food donations. They will be at the Publix in Hollywood, located at 1700 Sheridan St.
During that time, Local 10’s Betty Davis will be in Fort Lauderdale with the women of The Harvest Drive collecting items at the Publix located at 3400 N. Federal Highway.
To close the Day of GivingLouis Aguirre and Alex Finnie will be at the Publix of Miami Shores, located at 9050 Biscayne Blvd. from 3 pm to 7 pm with Make-A-Wish veterans.
Anyone wishing to donate can stop by any of the six Publix locations throughout the day on Friday.
