Cheongyang-gun announced on the 7th that it will conduct the ‘2024 Public Sanitation Service Evaluation’ by the 15th in order to improve the quality of public sanitation service and contribute to improving public health and quality of life.

This service evaluation, which is implemented to improve the level of hygiene management at public sanitation facilities, is conducted every two years for each industry.

Last year, the evaluation was completed for 84 hair and beauty businesses in the district, and this year’s target is a total of 43 businesses, including 25 lodging businesses, 5 bathhouse businesses, and 13 laundry businesses.

The evaluation method is a joint evaluation between the honorary public health inspector and the person in charge, and each industry is evaluated in three areas: general status, compliance matters, and recommendations.

Depending on the evaluation score, they are classified into ▲Best businesses with 90 or more points (green grade) ▲Excellent businesses with 80 or more points but less than 90 points (yellow grade) ▲General businesses with less than 80 points (white grade), and the best businesses (green grade) are subject to hygiene management. Grades are assigned and announced to cities, counties and districts nationwide and posted on the website and county bulletin boards.

County Mayor Kim Don-gon said, “Through this public sanitation service evaluation, businesses will voluntarily improve their hygiene management level and improve service quality, so we will continue to strive to create a clean and safe public sanitation business environment.”
