We are gradually entering the end-of-year holiday season and we bet that you would like to do a marathon of Christmas films and series on Disney+. Please note that this year, new seasonal features will arrive on the platform such as this original animated tale entitled The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland. Small clarification first of all, this film is not produced by Disney but it will be available on November 15 on Amazon Prime Video, HULU et Disney+ in the United States.

From the bestseller written by Carys Bexingtonillustrated by Kate Hindley and published by the editions Macmillan, The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland mixes two classic tales: Alice in Wonderland of Lewis Carroll and the poem of Clement Clarke Moore It was the Night before Christmas (also known as The Visit of Saint Nicholas). In the film, Saint Nicholas receives a late letter from the Princess of Hearts on Christmas Eve. He and his team of devoted reindeer travel to Wonderland, where they are greeted by the evil and miserable Queen of Hearts, who hates everything about Christmas… especially presents! Can Saint Nicholas, aided by Alice, the Mad Hatter and the March Hare, show the Queen the true meaning of Christmas and save the day before it’s too late?
The voice cast features Gerard Butler (300) in the role of Saint Nicholas, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) in that of the Princess of Hearts and Simone Ashley (The Bridgerton Chronicles) who plays the role of Alice.
This film was directed by Peter Baynton(The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse) which won the Oscar for best animated short film as well as the BAFTA for best British animated short film in 2023. Sara Daddy adapted the book into a screenplay. The film features original music and songs written by Guy Chamberslong-time collaborator of Robbie Williams and by the composer Amy WadgeGrammy Award winner.

Ruth Fielding et Camilla Deakin produced this special TV movie for Lupus Filmswith Helen Parkerexecutive vice president of the content group Universal Picturesas executive producer. Gerard Butler et Alan Siegel are also executive producers for G-BASE Productions and Emilia Clarke pour Magical Thinking Pictures.
Universal Pictures Content Group will release the film in the United States on November 15, 2024, on Prime Video and Hulu / Hulu On Disney+. It will also be released in the United Kingdom on Sky Cinema on December 13, 2024. It is still unclear how this film will arrive in France.
