Brawl at Ozoir-la-Ferrière station: four minors in pre-trial detention

Four minors aged 16 and 17, arrested and placed in police custody at the Torcy police station on Wednesday November 6, were indicted for assassination attempt“. They were incarcerated by the judge of freedoms and detention who followed the requisitions of the Melun parquet.

Two days after the violent brawl occurred in the train of an RER E train stopped at Ozoir-la-Ferrière station, the investigation therefore made rapid progress. It continues following a letter rogatory issued by an investigating judge.

This Monday, November 4, around 7:50 a.m., while they were going by train to their high school, in Tournan-en-Brie, four teenagers from Roissy-en-Brie, had been injured after being beaten with an axe, knife and baseball bat by hooded individuals. One of them had the phalanx of a finger severed (and not the hand contrary to what the first testimonies indicated).

“It’s very serious and totally crazy.”

At that time, the track of settling of accounts between rival bands from Roissy-en-Brie and Ozoir-la-Ferrière, was already privileged. It was confirmed with the arrest that same day in Ozoir of a 16-year-old boy. At his home, the police found an ax and a knife. Three other arrests therefore followed on November 6.

When we hit someone with an axe, it is no longer violence, it is because we have want to kill. This is very serious and totally crazy. From what we understand, young people from Ozoir had been attacked by others from Roissy a few days earlier. It was the return match…“, told us Jean-Michel Bourlèsthe public prosecutor of Melun.

Another attack could be linked to this brawl. Indeed, according to “Le Parisien”, a teenager from Pontault-Combaultaged 17 and enrolled at the Lino-Ventura high school in Ozoir, was beaten up by around twenty individuals on Tuesday, November 5, around 7 p.m. near the Ocil district, in Pontault-Combault. Suffering in particular from a jaw fracturehe was transported to Jossigny hospital. He was to be interviewed by the police as soon as his state of health improved.
