Houston Dynamo FC was eliminated from the Major League Soccer (MLS) Playoffs after losing on penalties to Seattle Sounders. This Wednesday, November 6, the club’s board announced the names of the players who will be left out for the following season.

Héctor Herrera is one of the casualties of the MLS team, the 34-year-old midfielder no longer entered Houston’s plans, so the club did not renew his contract, which ends at the end of 2024 and had the possibility of extending it until 2025.

Through an official statement, The Orange explained that it is entering the MLS offseason with a squad of 21 players. After a talk between the managers and the player, they reached an agreement to leave HH out, consequently the Mexican midfielder will remain a free agent for the winter market.
