Vineyards: The 4 “key” persons and the footprint in Germany –

Two 24 hours after the powerful explosion that rocked Ampelokipi, the developments in the new terrorism case are rapid.

On Tuesday, in the morning, the 31-year-old accused of being a terrorist organization will be brought to court, in order to plead guilty to numerous charges.

The defendant, who appeared voluntarily at the Anti-Terrorist Service last night and was arrested, reportedly denies the accusations attributed to him, claiming that he has nothing to do with terrorist acts.

It is also alleged that he claims that he does not know the persons who were in the apartment on Arkadias Street in Ampelokipis where the powerful explosion took place, namely the man who was dismembered and the woman who was injured and is hospitalized under guard as she is an accused.

According to the information of MEGA, residents of the area reported that the 31-year-old was in the apartment as they saw him leaving the apartment building immediately after the explosion, a fact that the police also confirmed by checking footage from security cameras.

In fact, witnesses report that they heard him shouting “What did he do?”.

At the same time, the burden falls on the analysis done in the forensics department. In the hands of the police are diagrams and blueprints concerning the possible targets of the terrorist organization, as well as the mobile phones of the terrorists.

The apartment building is vacant and “sealed”.

The apartment building where the explosion took place has been “sealed”, as the damage is extensive and there is concern about the stability of the building.

Entry is also not allowed to the residents of the apartment building, who are awaiting the urban planning control for the suitability of the building.

How was the 36-year-old identified?

Refusal to record his fingerprints – in various arrests by EL.AS. – was the 36-year-old anti-authoritarian who lost his life in the deadly explosion in Ampelokipi, according to the police editor of Neos and Vimas, Vassilis Lambropoulos.

After all, this was the reason why the Greek authorities could not proceed with his identification.

However, there were reasonable suspicions about his identity as his parents were initially looking for him.

Ultimately, the identification of the 36-year-old was made from a small part of his dismembered body, in cooperation with the German authorities. The 36-year-old had participated in an anarchist mobilization at the Greek consulate in Berlin, where he could not avoid being fingerprinted.

In addition, according to the information of the police editor, the police authorities estimate that these people participated in an organization that has been active for the last year, the “Armed Proletarian Justice”.

This is the organization that planted a bomb in December 2023 at the MAT facility in Polytechnic University.

At present, however, there is no fingerprint identification with the one found in that attack.

The faces – “keys”

The man who was dismembered and who seems to have been wondering about or building the explosive device, which exploded in his hands in the living room of the house, was identified by the authorities. 36 years old, student, lived in Korydallos. He was identified by his fingerprints in Europol’s international database.

The police officers were able to fingerprint the 33-year-old woman who was seriously injured in the apartment on Arkadias Street and is being treated under guard in Evangelismos. Her identity was found inside the house. He is a person active in the broader anti-authoritarian space and was brought in for incidents. He had previously entered the “radar” of the State Security, as in 2015 he had been arrested for an attack on a rector.

It is estimated that the 33-year-old woman was in another part of the house when the explosion occurred in the living room. The woman has undergone jaw surgery and is still unable to testify.

The third person – “key” is a 30-year-old woman to whom the owner from the Netherlands had given the keys to the apartment. And this woman belongs to the anti-authoritarian space and is known to the Authorities. Two days before the explosion, the 30-year-old traveled to Belgium.

The fourth key person is the 31-year-old man who voluntarily presented himself to GADA last night and was arrested. He is the partner of the 30-year-old woman who had the keys to Arkadia Street.

The common element of the four persons is Patras, as they all studied at the Polytechnic, while all four participated in marches in Berlin.

According to police estimates, the two women hierarchically had a greater active role in the organization than the two men.

The heavy indictment

The Anti-Terrorism Department announced the formation of a case file against three defendants, including the arrested, the multiple injured woman from the explosion who is being treated and another woman who is wanted.

The felony charges are: forming and joining a terrorist organization, terrorist acts of manufacturing and possession of explosives, terrorist acts of supplying explosives, explosion with possible intent that could result in human life. In addition, the indictment also includes two misdemeanors for damage to foreign property and illegal possession of a weapon.
