A derogatory saying is the downfall of Mainz professional footballer Dominik Kohr. The DFB has announced the sentence.
Mainz Bundesliga professional Dominik Kohr has to pay for his interview statements against referee Sascha Stegemann after the DFB Cup game against FC Bayern (0:4).
The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) fined the 30-year-old defensive player 10,000 euros for unsportsmanlike behavior, the association announced.
Kohr: “That’s just the Bayern bonus”
“The referee was wearing a Bayern jersey. You have to criticize that sometimes,” Kohr said on Sky at the end of October after the home defeat in the second round of the cup against Munich. Many little things were simply whistled for Bayern Munich. “That’s just the Bayern bonus.”
The DFB justified the punishment by Kohr denying Stegemann’s impartiality with the Bayern jersey statement. Since the people of Mainz have agreed to the verdict, it is legally binding.
Zentner also criticizes Stegemann
Robin Zentner also expressed criticism of Stegemann’s performance after the final whistle.
