Donald Trump wins the state of Wisconsin

Birth state of the Republican Party, Wisconsin has most often swung to the Democratic side in recent decades. Despite everything, it remains a pivotal state highly coveted by candidates, with its 10 major voters, and had already been won by Donald Trump in 2016.

In Wisconsin, Donald Trump wins over Democrat Kamala Harris, according to a result put forward by the American channel CNN.

This Midwestern state, which has 10 electors, voted for Donald Trump in 2016 before turning to Joe Biden in 2020, each time with a difference of less than one point between the two candidates. Since 2008, the winning candidate in Wisconsin has also proven to be the winner in the national election.

Harris data winning in the polls

In this state considered pivotal, Kamala Harris nevertheless came out on top in the last polls preceding the election, but with a small lead: still less than two points.

But the Republicans had made extensive efforts to reconquer Wisconsin this year, notably by organizing the party’s convention in July, during which Donald Trump officially received the nomination of the Grand Old Party and announce that his running mate would be JD Vance.

Former stronghold of American industry and birthplace of Harley Davidson, Wisconsin has suffered the consequences of deindustrialization for several decades but today has an unemployment rate of 2.9%, lower than the national average.
