Tanushree Pandey, daughter of Lucknow and student of Raghukul Vidyapeeth of the city, has won the silver medal in the Fourth World Junior Soft Tennis Competition held in Jingshan, China. Family, teachers and classmates have congratulated 21-year-old Tanushree on her achievement.

Tanushree Pandey is participating in the competition being held from November 1 to 6 in Jingshan, China on behalf of the Indian Amateur Soft Tennis Federation. Tanushree, daughter of Anil Pandey and Neelam Pandey, residents of Raebareli Road, Vrindavan Utrethiya, Lucknow, has been playing tennis since the beginning. In the women’s singles competition held in China, she defeated players from the opposing countries in the league matches. In the semi-finals she faced a player from Japan. In which they defeated 4-3 and entered the final.
