Archaeological finds found inside an estate a Capaccio Paestum. To take action, following a report, i carabinieri of the Capaccio Scalo stationdirected by the lieutenant Giuseppe D’Agostino and coordinated at a territorial level by the captain of the Agropoli Company, Giuseppe Colella. The soldiers of theArma yesterday morning they went inside the private property, in the company of an archaeologist to analyze what was highlighted. He confirmed that they were archaeological finds in travertine that belonged to the walls of the ancient city of Poseidonia. The owner of the estate was released on bail for receiving stolen goods (art. 518 quater penal code).
The seals
The suspect was not able to justify the presence of those finds, which had been placed as a traffic island in order to prevent the entry of vehicles into some points of the vast property which also sells to the public. The assets were seized and entrusted to the custody of Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia.
