LATINA – “Yoga as a path of life” is the theme of the Yoga Festival, II edition, a day of celebration and promotion of the ancient science of yoga promoted by the group of certified teachers of Yoga Insieme Latina which will be held on Sunday 10 November in the Hall Exhibitions in Palazzo M from 9.30am to 7pm.
“Through traditional hatha yoga practices and theoretical seminars, we will delve into the aspect of how this age-old wisdom discipline interacts with our daily life “beyond the practice on the mat”, constituting, consequently, a transformative and improving path for the human being and of society”, explains the coordinator of the organization of the day Giovanna Astuto.
There are spaces for practice conducted by teachers Laura Attili, Sabina Campione, Cecilia Chiavelli, Monica Fava, Elisabetta Iori, Assunta Molino, Liliana Pirani and Leonardo Rizzo, and spaces dedicated to in-depth conferences/seminars on the topic which will see Antonia Tronti, yoga teacher and scholar and Giacinta Milita, Osteopath and Physiotherapist.
A space in the morning is dedicated to the experience of the weekly yoga course that the teaching group has been carrying out for four years at the Breast unit in Latina, directed by Prof Fabio Ricci, who takes part in the event, together with Dr. Roberto Tozzi, physiatrist director of the Latina ASL. The intervention will be completed by the testimonies of women, patient-students, being treated for breast cancer.
The event which has obtained the moral patronage of the Municipality of Latina and will open with the institutional greetings of the mayor Matilde Celentano, is carried out with the support and moral patronage of the Local Health Authority of Latina and of the SM Goretti Latina Hospital Breast Unit and takes place in the headquarters of Corso della Repubblica courtesy of the Guardia di Finanza. Entrance is free.
