Arkas addresses us with a poetic “Good morning” today, Sunday, November 3, 2024.
In today’s sketch, he hosts the beloved and likable Thanasakis who, mounted on a stone wall, looks at the sunrise and recites verses by the poet Kostas Karyotakis from his poem “Kyriaki” with the special “dialect” of Thanasakis.
– “The sun will most likely rise today because it is Sunday.” The wind blows and shakes a haystack on the ground there. …Kostas Karyotakis”.
Enjoy the sketch:
Here is the entire poem:
The sun will rise higher
Today is Sunday
the wind blows and shakes
a furrow on the hill there
Everyone will put on the holidays
they will have a light heart
look at the street children
look at the flowers on the balcony
Hear the bells ringing
God is real
beyond in the clouds they scatter
and the sky grows
Leave the world to its own joy
and come, my heart, let me tell you
a happy song
a song of death
