The funds were approved at a government meeting last week due to commitments under multi-year contracts concluded by the Regional Directorates of Forestry. The funds are for the creation of an up-to-date database on forest territories and resources and the production of forestry maps, plans for hunting activities and fire protection activities, taking into account the boundaries of forest territorial units.

THE MINISTERIAL COUNCIL
RESOLUTIONS:
Art. 1. Increases affirmations with Art. 24, para. 3 of the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2024, the maximum amount of expenditure commitments that can be undertaken in 2024 under the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, amounting to BGN 8,500,000.
Art. 2. The Minister of Agriculture and Food to make the relevant changes to the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food for 2024 and to notify the Minister of Finance.
Final provisions
§ 1. The decree is adopted on the basis of Art. 77 of the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2024.
§ 2. The implementation of the decree is entrusted to the Minister of Agriculture and Food.
§ 3. The decree enters into force from the day of its promulgation in the State Gazette.
