Attack at Freising train station: Both those involved had alcohol in their blood

It is not yet known what the 26-year-old and the 55-year-old German from Mainburg, who was hit in the face, got into an argument about. However, both men had around 1.5 per mille of alcohol in their breath, as a test later showed. During the dispute, the Eritrean from Freising also kicked the bicycle of a 56-year-old Tunisian and damaged the bike. He also threw an ashtray against a display board on the platform, so that it was also demolished.

During further investigations, a data comparison revealed an open arrest warrant from the Landshut public prosecutor’s office due to an attempted rape. The Eritrean, who entered Germany for the first time in September 2015, was sentenced to one year and eleven months in prison, but has not yet served this term. Following the police measures, the 26-year-old, who has a temporary residence permit, was transferred to the Munich-Stadelheim correctional facility. Now he will also have to answer for bodily harm and damage to property.
