The Morgan family is back! Apple Original Films announced that it is working on a sequel to its hit film “Family Plan,” with Mark Wahlberg set to produce and reprise his role as Dan Morgan. As well as Michelle Monaghan, Zoe Colletti and Van Crosby who also return with their beloved characters.
Simon Cellan Jones also returns as director of the Skydance Media action comedy film, which premiered as the most-watched movie on Apple TV+ last year.

“I am beyond excited to step back into the shoes of Dan Morgan alongside my brilliant co-stars, and with Simon and David returning to the helm,” said producer and star Mark Wahlberg.
“Making ‘Family Plan’ and watching it become an instant hit with global audiences the way it did, has been incredibly rewarding. We look forward to collaborating again with our partners at Apple and Skydance on this next chapter for the Morgan family. Since your European vacation… will inevitably go wrong.”
For his part, director Simon Cellan Jones said: “I’m delighted to be back with The Morgans as they tour Europe in search of the perfect, action-packed family Christmas.”
The other names behind the new Family Plan
David Coggeshall, the writer of the first film, returns to write the sequel to “Family Plan,” which takes place at Christmas in Europe. Where Dan has planned the perfect vacation for the Morgans, but their past continues to haunt them in unexpected ways.
An Apple Original Film from Skydance Media, the sequel will be directed by Simon Cellan Jones. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger will produce for Skydance, along with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson through Municipal Pictures. John G. Scotti will executive produce along with Cellan Jones.
