In the third quarter, the projects are for larger buildings with more housing

The most building permits V Plovdiv region for the third quarter of 2024 – 153, were issued by the municipality of “Rodopi”. The neighboring municipality of Plovdiv is also preferred for the construction of other buildings, according to data from the Territorial Statistical Bureau – South.

Once again, the municipality of “Rodopi” is in first place in terms of the number of buildings whose construction began in July – September.

Building permits

In the third quarter of 2024, the municipal administrations on the territory of the Plovdiv region issued permits for the construction of 327 residential buildings with 2,498 dwellings in them and with 279,258 square meters of built-up area (GFA) and 134 other buildings with 103,785 sq. m of built-up area.

Compared to the previous quarter, the issued permits for the construction of residential buildings are less by 10.4%, but the dwellings in them are more by 10.1%, as well as their total built-up area – by 8.3%. The number of construction permits for other buildings remained unchanged, while their RR increased by 45.9%.

Compared to the third quarter of 2023, the issued permits for the construction of new residential buildings decreased by 4.9%, but the dwellings in them increased by 105.1%, and their expanded built-up area – by 88.4%. The construction permits issued to other buildings are less by 13.0%, and their RR – by 36.7%.

The largest number of permits for the construction of new buildings were issued for the territory of the following municipalities: Rodopi – 122 residential buildings with 130 dwellings in them and 31 other buildings; Plovdiv – on 63 residential buildings with 2,064 dwellings in them and on 19 other buildings; Maritsa – 42 residential buildings with one apartment each and 18 other buildings; Asenovgrad – 29 residential buildings with 106 dwellings in them and 3 other buildings.

New construction

In the third quarter of 2024, the construction of 264 residential buildings with 1,207 dwellings in them and with 163,328 square meters of total built-up area and 77 other buildings with 65,525 square meters of gross floor area began in the district.
Compared to the previous quarter, there was a decrease in the number of residential buildings started by 15.4%, in the number of dwellings in them – by 10.1%, while their total built-up area increased by 2.6%. The number of started other buildings decreased by 10.5%, and their total built-up area by 22.3%.

Compared to the third quarter of 2023, new residential building starts increased by 10.5%, the dwellings in them increased by 75.9%, and their total built-up area increased by 86.7%. The started other buildings decreased by 3.8%, and their corresponding FRP – by 67.6%.

The construction of the largest number of new buildings in the district has started on the territory of the following municipalities: Rodopi – 93 residential buildings with 97 dwellings in them and 23 other buildings; Plovdiv – 55 residential buildings with 817 dwellings in them and 4 other buildings; Maritsa – 40 residential buildings with one dwelling in them and 19 other buildings; Asenovgrad – 21 residential buildings with 43 dwellings in them and 4 other buildings.
