PSV defeated Girona, Dinamo Zagreb humiliated Slovan Bratislava – 2024-11-05 20:51:00

Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven registered their first win in the main draw of the Champions League after prevailing 4-0 over Girona in a match of the 4th round.

Ryan Flamingo and Malik Tillman gave the Netherlands side a solid 2-0 lead after just over half an hour. After the restart, home captain Luc de Jong hit the post and in the 55th, Girona’s Arnau Martinez was sent off for a second yellow card.

In the 76th minute, Ismael Saibari’s goal was disallowed due to a foul following VAR’s intervention.


Yohan Bakayoko made it 3:0 in the 83rd minute. Two minutes before the end of regular time, Ladislav Krejci II deflected the ball into Gassaniga’s goal for 4:0.

In the next round on November 27, PSV Eindhoven will host Shakhtar Donetsk, and Girona will visit Sturm Graz, writes gol.bg.

Elsewhere, Dinamo Zagreb secured their second away win in the Champions League after beating Slovan Bratislava 4-1.

The hosts from Slovakia opened in the 5th minute through David Strelets. However, Dynamo equalized in the 10th minute through Dario Špikić, who completed a solo break.

Petar Suchic made a complete turnaround for the Croatians in the 30th minute. In the 54th minute, Sandro Kulenovic made it 3:1 after receiving an assist from Marco Piazza. In the 72nd minute, Kulenovic made the final 4:1.
