Anthem festival and a bombastic halftime show!
From a sporting perspective, the NFL spectacle in Munich could be comparatively poor. Last year, fans were treated to the AFC clash Kansas City Chiefs against Miami Dolphins. In 2024 it will be New York Giants versus Carolina Panthers instead.
Both teams started the season extremely poorly. The Giants (2 wins, 7 losses) are heading for the next big upheaval after another plague season. The Panthers (also 2 wins, 7 defeats), on the other hand, have the worst defense in the entire league. No other NFL team allows more points and yards per game on average.

In addition to the offensive highlights, German football fans should be entertained with a lot of star power. Viewers can look forward to Machine Gun Kelly for the big halftime show. The 34-year-old will perform, among other things, his hit “Lonely Road” in Munich.

The US anthem will be performed in the Allianz Arena by German violinist David Garrett (44). The musician himself has American citizenship; his mother comes from the States.

By the way, singer Florentina sings the German national anthem. The Mannheimer made it onto the New Music Hotlist 2024 this year. About the big NFL performance, she reveals: “It’s a special opportunity to perform in front of so many people, and I hope that through my interpretation of the anthem I can reach both the fans in the stadium and the viewers in front of the screens.”
