On trial. Fate befallen two doctorsone of the 118 and the other on duty in the hospital emergency room Santa Maria della Speranza at the time of the death of Giuseppina Lozzathe 54enne who lost his life on the evening of May 12, 2022, the victim of lethal peritonitis, caused by the presence of a small knife in his abdomen, a few minutes after the longed-for access to the hospital via Fiorignano after waiting on the stretcher of an ambulance which lasted for over five hours. In the past few hours Annamaria Ferraiolojudge of the preliminary hearing, accepted the request for committal to trial made by Mafalda Daria Cioncadaprosecutor in charge of preliminary investigations.
The process
At the dawn of 2025 the doctors Guido Germano Dattoli e Gemma D’Acamporadefended by lawyers Giovanni Torre e Luigi Pastenathey will end up on trial before Giuseppe Bosonesingle judge of First criminal section of the Court of Salerno. The woman’s family members, her husband and three children are civil parties in the proceedings, all assisted by the lawyer Assunta Mutalipassi.
