Eating healthily while reducing your ecological footprint – that’s what Aramark offers with its “Planet Power” menu line. As part of campaign weeks in September, new recipes were presented that the Aramark creative team implemented based on the Planetary Health Diet.
Healthy eating in focus
What and how much we eat and drink is directly related to sustainable development goals. This is now well known and includes social, economic and ecological aspects. “Eating healthily while minimizing the ecological footprint is the aim of the Planetary Health Diet, whose scientific recommendations are also followed by our regular Planet Power menu line,” says Ulrike Mößner, Head of Culinary Creation & Nutrition at Aramark.
“We have developed new dishes and recipes that provide versatile flavors and valuable nutrients through lots of crunchy, fresh vegetables, legumes and fruit as well as moderate amounts of fish, meat and dairy products.”
Balanced and tasty
SAP is also convinced by Planet Power and added the new menus to the menu of the company restaurants run by Aramark in September. “The health of our employees is our top priority,” says Dr. med. Lea Scheidt, company doctor at SAP.
“Today we know that many chronic diseases can be prevented with an appropriate diet. That’s why we attach great importance to an adequate range of healthy and balanced meals in our company restaurants.”
“The various recipes, vegan, vegetarian or combined with poultry and fish, were developed by the Aramark creative team based on the PHD nutritional recommendations and not only impress with their good taste, but also reflect our high health standards in the catering industry,” added Jürgen Ziegler, Catering Coordinator SAP Food Spaces.
