Restaurant owner responds to negative review on TikTok: “They’re unhappy rats”

There are more and more applications to make reservations at restaurants and in some cases obtain some type of discounts.

The prices of many restaurants and businesses have risen after the pandemic, which makes more people pay attention to discounts, but this does not mean that they will always exist.

Recently some clients made reservations at an Italian restaurant via The Fork and they left a negative review because they did not receive any type of discount.

“We ate and when they gave us the bill there was no discount or anything. The normal price. We will not go again,” he highlighted.

The restaurant owner, The Italian Court of Fuengirolashares his adventures on TikTok where several of his videos have gone viral.

I do not hesitate to comment harshly on the review and explain how The Fork works: “First of all, The Fork application is used by restaurants to receive reservations. Then there is a small part of restaurants where they apply the discount, but that appears in the application” He says before explaining that “We never had a discount, we don’t have it and we won’t have it.”

It makes me laugh how in 2024 all those types of people can still existpeople if you can call them that because for me they are unhappy rats and I could go on,” he says angrily before adding that he finds it “incredible that you go to a restaurant to ask for a discount like that for nothing.”

“Because it’s like you go to the pharmacy to ask for a discount. That has never happened. Do you go to a supermarket to ask for a discount? That has never happened. What difference is there with a restaurant? Nothing. That is taking advantage of the work of the people, I think. It makes me laugh,” he says.

“I’ve been working here all summer, there’s still a lot of work and then there are people who come to ask me for a discount. Please, guys, if you’re like that, you’re not welcome,” he says, closing his commented video.
