Chrome is getting something new that might make your Chromebook work better. People with cheaper Chromebooks know the problem: if too many tabs are open, the laptop sometimes becomes very slow. Sometimes it is even with just an additional tab, for example Gmail. This should be fixed with new ‘Performance’ tools.
Chrome improved
These are new ways to manage Chrome memory. This includes notifications that tell you there are performance issues and an increase in memory savings. There is already that function to temporarily disable the inactive tabs in terms of data, so to speak, but there is more. The two new options mainly concern the data that tabs pull, whether they are enabled in the background or not.

The Performance Tracker, which notifies you of degraded performance, displays a notification next to your account bubble in Chrome’s address bar. It looks like a kind of speedometer. If you click on it, you will get a list of the tabs that cause problems and you can leave them open or choose the solution option.
The memory saver will soon have modes that allow you to choose three ‘strengths’ as to how tightly it should look at tabs that are open in the background but not in use. Average looks at what your system needs and manages tabs, Balanced offers more support for your surfing behavior (in conjunction with what your system needs ) and the maximum turns off the tabs quickly after you stop using it. A big advantage, which only applies to Chromebooks: other laptops benefit from it too.

We have the new memory saving options, but still no option to receive performance notifications. Are you? Share it in the comments.
