Specifically, the former prime minister, speaking at the presentation of the book “Konstantinos Karamanlis and Thessaloniki” deconstructed the government’s narrative about Greek-Turkish, stating that “I want to underline, the concerns and concerns expressed about our national issues are reasonable and real . After all, they are created by the aggression and increasing revisionism of Turkey. Their emergence essentially strengthens our permanent national positions, especially when they are expressed by responsible lips”.
In fact, he added that “it is wrong to treat them as critical, since the country remains committed to the national line”.

Also, the former prime minister said that “Constantinos Karamanlis believed that the only dispute with Turkey, i.e. the delimitation of the continental shelf in the Aegean, should be resolved in accordance with International Law and international treaties, if necessary with an appeal to the International Court of Justice of The Hague based on a co-promissory note and it was Turkey that withdrew at that time”, while adding that “This is the historical truth. In other words, the insinuation that Konstantinos Karamanlis would be willing to discuss issues that Turkey has been unilaterally and arbitrarily trying to add to the agenda over time is inaccurate, misguided and perhaps out of slyness.”

In addition, the former president of the blue faction also left strong points about targeting as long as they do not conform to the dominant narratives. Characteristically, he said that “it tends to become the norm for propaganda to target and slander those who do not identify with its prevailing narrative”, while he added at another point in his speech that “even EU member states are tempted to manipulate justice” .
Finally, he said that those who “arrogantly and arrogantly underestimate disaffected and protesting citizens as regressive, atomized or extremists” are adding fuel to the fire, while regarding the widening of social inequalities he said that it is “a bomb in the foundations of democratic normality and stability”.
