MLB: Soto and Alonso among players who received a qualifying offer

A total of 13 free-agent players received qualifying offers from the team they represented last season on Monday.

The offers are for one year and $21.05 million. Players have until 4 p.m. on November 19 to accept or reject the offer, which is calculated based on the annual average of the 125 largest contracts in MLB.

Yankees: Juan Soto (outfielder)
Orioles: Corbin Burnes (right-handed pitcher)
Orioles : Anthony Santander
Astros: Alex Bregman (third baseman)
Braves: Max Fried (left-handed pitcher)
Brewers: Willy Adames (shortstop)
Mets : Pete Alonso (premier-but)
Mets: Sean Manaea (left-handed pitcher)
Mets: Luis Severino (right-handed pitcher)
Dodgers: Teoscar Hernandez (outfielder)
Red Sox: Nick Pivetta (right-handed pitcher)
Diamondbacks : Christian Walker (premier-but)
Reds: Nick Martinez (right-handed pitcher)

The most sought-after players generally choose to reject these offers in order to test the free agency market and secure longer-term deals. Since the 2012 season, only 12 players have accepted it out of 131. Last year, the seven players who received the offer set at $20.325 million rejected it.

Only a player who was part of the team from opening day and who has not already received a qualifying offer in the past is eligible.

Right-hander Walker Buehler (Dodgers), outfielder Jurickson Profar (Padres) and second baseman Gleyber Torres (second baseman) are among those who did not receive an offer.
