Trump threatens to impose 25% tariffs on Mexico if it does not stop the passage of “criminals and drugs”; complains about “invasion” of migrants

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trumpthreatened today to impose 25% tariffs on Mexico if the country does not “stop the pace of criminals and drugss”.

During a rally in Raleigh, North CarolinaTrump said that during his government (2917-2021), he forced Mexico to deploy soldiers to stop the flow of migrants. “Mexico paid for the soldiers. “They paid us so much”… he assured.

He said he had a great relationship with the then Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. “He was a socialist… You can’t have everything,” and he complained about the “invasion” of migrants from Mexico.

Immediately afterwards, he said that, if he wins the presidency in the elections on November 5, the first thing he will do will be communicate with the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum. “They say she is very nice, I don’t know her.”

However, he announced that the call will be to warn him that “if they do not stop the onslaught of criminals entering our country,” “I will impose 25% tariffs on everything they send. If it does not work, 50%. If it does not work, 75% %, and if it doesn’t work, 100%.”

“I’ll start with 25%, it’s a lot. Do you know that Mexico is our number one trading partner? Do you know why that is? They earn a fortune. “They have taken over our country,” he denounced, criticizing the government of President Joe Biden and the vice president and Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris.

Mexico “has become our number one trading partner and they are scamming us left and right, it is ridiculous,” he said.

Trump urged his followers to go out vote to “fire” the vice president and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

“Tomorrow, they have to stand up and tell Kamala that they’ve had enough, that they can’t take it anymore, that they just can’t,” Trump said.

“They’re going to say: ‘You’ve done a terrible job, you’re grossly incompetent, we’re not going to take it anymore. Kamala, you’re fired! Get out of here. Get out of here,’” Trump said.

“Hopefully everything goes well, we’re way ahead, all we have to do is close it,” Trump said. “If we get everyone to vote, there is nothing they can do. “It’s up to us to lose,” he said.
