GERB announced that they expect their representative to be elected Speaker of the Parliament, in accordance with the fact that they are the winners of the early vote. Boyko Borisov is adamant that this is fair and moral. Canceling the result will not change the order of the parties significantly. And even if the result is canceled and we go to the eighth election in a row, GERB will be the winner again, it became clear from his words.
The litmus test for Borissov will be the election of the parliamentary speaker, who will be nominated by his party. If it does not, it will not propose a government. “The election of the chairman of the National Assembly will decide whether to offer consultations at all, or whether to bring in the mandate at all,” promised the GERB leader.
“My decision and that of my party will be the election of the Speaker of the Parliament. At this one GLITTERING victory of GERB, parliamentarism requires GERB to have a chairman of the National Assembly. And if they decide to do Uydurmi, we will no longer participate in talks,” he vowed.

he added. The leader of GERB clarified that the party, not he, will propose who should be nominated as head of the National Assembly, but added that “both Zhelyazkov and Raya have proven themselves.”

And he immediately predicted: “It will change plus or minus one, two, three deputies, nothing significant will change.” I am absolutely in favor of them counting as much as they want, Borisov also said. “The eighth election will lead to the same thing, GERB will be first again,” he added.
Regardless of who the interior ministers were, GERB fluctuated between 68-69 MPs and this is a permanent trend. The same applies to PP-DB and “Vazrazhdane”, he pointed out. GERB had the weakest result during the time of Kalin Stoyanov, these are the facts, Borisov summarized.
Ten days after the vote, there is a race for cashing in, and no one is talking about creating a regular government, the GERB leader expressed concern. “I see a reluctance to govern, to form a government and to work for the benefit of the state. I only hear incantations, continuing the election campaign and looking for excuses,” he stated.
And he criticized the PP-DB’s declaration of a “sanitary cordon” around Delyan Peevski’s “DPS – New Beginning”. “PP-DB sent a declaration with which they want to say that Borisov and GERB are dependent on PP-DB and if they want a government they must squat, bend over, or there will be no government,” he said.
“Declarations before talks are not made, it only makes the talks meaningless. With this declaration, they literally undermined the entire process,” Borisov said in an address to PP-DB.
And at the same time, he denied the allegations that GERB was playing with Peevski. “This is a lie,” Borisov was categorical.
The leader of GERB repeated again that he does not have a good DPS and vowed that he would not allow himself to be dependent on either Peevski or Dogan.
He clarified that he is ready for the only compromise of not being prime minister for the first term of GERB, but nothing more – he will not participate in talks about the next term. “GERB-SDS will not make any compromise on any topic with PP-DB”, he also stated. According to him, it makes no sense to meet with the PP-DB and talk about a cabinet, because “they keep talking to me about an equidistant prime minister, and they said there is none.”
