Overall objective of the position :
The Head of the Marketing component will have the main mission of monitoring and supporting local businesses for the implementation of marketing activities for nutrition projects and the management of the marketing manager. It will be supported by experts from GRET Niger and GRET headquarters.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks :
More specifically, the Manager of the Marketing component will have the following missions:
- Coordinate the framing, implementation and analysis of marketing studies (market studies, satisfaction studies, etc.)
- Provide technical support to local businesses in defining and monitoring the implementation of marketing strategies (distribution strategy, promotional campaign plan, design of promotional and packaging tools, monitoring-evaluation of commercial activities, etc.)
- Develop training modules and provide training for local businesses and other stakeholders in the field,
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the monitoring-evaluation system with regard to marketing activities
- Contribute to the writing and assembly of new GRET projects regarding marketing activities
- Technically support and manage the marketing manager in the operational monitoring of marketing actions,
These missions will be carried out in collaboration with the marketing manager and as part of the implementation of nutrition projects implemented at the GRET Niger level.
The Manager of the Marketing component will carry out any other activity related to the position and requested by his superiors.

The Section Manager is under the responsibility of the Nutrition Program Manager.

Profile sought
- BAC + 5 diploma in Marketing, or in commercial management or business communication, Professional experience of at least 5 years in the implementation and monitoring of marketing activities: market research, design of promotional tools, development of marketing strategies, coordination of promotional campaigns, etc.
- Experience in development projects would be an asset;
- Good marketing and sales experience in an agri-food company, or private sector or supporting small businesses in Niger;
- Successful experience of at least 2 years in management;
- Commercial fiber, rigor, autonomy and organizational capacity
- Excellent oral and writing skills in French, English would be a plus;
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and general IT;
- Sense of responsibility and respect
- Flexibility, availability and ability to work under pressure.
The objectives:
- Management of the marketing team (marketing mission manager), validation of employees’ plans, monitoring of actions and drafting of reports.
- Planning and implementation of marketing and visibility actions for GRET projects in Niger;
- Collaboration with GRET project managers in Niger;
- Ensure the organization of the launch of promotional campaigns for new units (organization of teams, action plans and budgeting for promotional actions, monitoring of implementation and reporting/capitalization).

Working hours : Days and times in force in Niger
Remuneration will be established on the basis of the salary scale in force at Gret Niger.
