For a long time it looked as if the fight for the Formula 1 world title could develop into a thriller until the last GP. After his fantastic comeback in Sao Paulo, Max Verstappen is now so many points ahead that he could become world champion in Las Vegas.
Thanks to his incredible race in Sao Paulo, when he drove to victory from 17th on the grid, Max Verstappen is now 62 points ahead of his pursuer Lando Norris in the Formula 1 World Championship fight – and suddenly match point.
Norris has to gain at least three points on Verstappen at the third-to-last race of the season in Las Vegas (November 23) in order to maintain his mathematical chances.
Because after Las Vegas there is still a sprint weekend in Qatar, here Norris can score a maximum of 34 points (8 in the sprint, 1 for the fastest lap, 25 for the race win).
A maximum of 26 World Cup points are up for grabs at the season finale in Abu Dhabi. Overall, Norris could still catch up with 60 points after the GP in the gaming metropolis.
