With stolen credit cards they had done shopping, for free, in shops in the center of Rome. Four South American, Peruvian and Chilean citizens aged between 30 and 37 ended up in trouble, blocked and arrested shortly afterwards by the police. The group of Latinos, three men and a woman, went in and out of various commercial activities in the streets of the Capitoline center last weekend.
After a few minutes of tailing, the soldiers surprised them and blocked them immediately after using two credit cards in the name of an unsuspecting person to purchase various items of clothing in a shop on Via del Corso.
Who are the “Latinos” who broke into Rome’s criminal scene
Further investigations allowed the police to ascertain that the four, shortly before, had used the same credit cards in two other shops, managing to purchase goods which were immediately recovered and returned to the shop owners. For this reason, the four suspects were taken to the courtrooms of the Court of Rome, in Piazzale Clodio, where the arrest was validated for all.
Two of them were banned from staying in the municipality of Rome, one was required to sign in the barracks and no measures were taken for the woman. They are all accused of improper use of credit and payment cards.
