Andrea Crisanti, the microbiologist elected senator in the ranks of the Democratic Party, declares it bluntly. Interviewed by Daily Fact he confessed to being quite bored: “In the Chamber I understand 30% of the laws I vote for. The rest is totally inaccessible to the mind or it’s boredom“. When the dose of boredom “exceeds I run for cover”. The picture of the days spent in the Senate painted by Crisanti, known to Italians during the pandemic, is bleak: “It’s terrible, that thing knocks you out, it kills you to death groping in the dark.”
Work as a senator
The senator has adopted his own method to remain active: “I know that no law is the same for everyone and above all no law is right for everyone. Take the rule that reduces the number limit at the Faculty of Medicine. The students will toast, but others will not.” And he explains that “a medical student costs the community – if he graduates – 150 thousand euros. With specialization the bill goes up by another 250 thousand euros.”
